Poppy Day ceremony

Regional Development Minister Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka placing a wreath at the War Memorial in Colombo during Poppy Day ceremonies held yesterday in memory of military personnel who sacrificed their lives in the two world wars and those who sacrificed their lives to safeguard the unity and territorial integrity of the country. Defence Secretary Karunasena Hettiarachchi, Service Chiefs, members of the Diplomatic Corps and families of departed war heroes were also present.
