INTERPOL can’t issue warrant on Lanka e-News Editor: CID

The CID this morning informed the Gampaha Magistrate that they could not issue a warrant on the Lanka e-News Editor Sandaruwan Senadeera through the INTERPOL, as charges had not yet been filed in court against him.

The CID told court that the INTERPOL had said their application for international warrant was therefore incomplete.

On November 25, Gampaha Magistrate Kavidya Nanayakkara ordered an international warrant on Sandaruwan Senadeera for contempt of court.
