The Delimitation Review Committee report should be published in the gazette on Friday, Joint Opposition (JO) MP Dullas Alahapperuma said.
Addressing a press conference at N. M. Perera Memorial Centre yesterday, Alahapperuma said Minister Faizer Musthapha promised in Parliament that the report would be published in the gazette within two days of receipt.
“Now the report has been handed over to the State Minister. There is no way the government can escape now,” he said.
The MP also responding to the calls of the SLFP members in government ranks to join hands to make an SLFP government, Alahapperuma challenged them to come out of the UNP government and prove this was a genuine statement.
JO MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara said anti-UNP statements of the SLFP members in the government indicate that there are simmering internal clashes within the government.
