Lak Sathosa to sell Rs. 1,500 food basket for Rs.975 during festive season

Laksathosa outlets on the instructions of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, will provide a Rs.1,515 worth food basket of essential consumer items at Rs.975 to consumers during this festive season. The Government has taken this decision to support the public reduce their cost of living during the upcoming Sinhala and Hindu New Year season.

Accordingly, this food basket consisting of 10 essential items could be purchased by the consumers between April 10 and 20, 2017 through Sathosa outlets islandwide. The Government expects to sell one million food baskets during this period.
