United Peoples’ Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Galle district MP Geetha Kumarasinghe has met with Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, the Speakers media division informed.
MP Kumarasinghe is has told the Speaker she is expecting to appeal to the Supreme Court about the Court of Appeal’s decision.
The Court of Appeal yesterday ruled that the UPFA MP was disqualified from Parliament as she holds dual citizenship in Sri Lanka and Switzerland.
