Eleven Star Sports Club, Thampaddai beat Super Star Sports Club, Thirukkovil in the final to emerge champions of the divisional level seven – a – side limited 5 over’s cricket tournament conducted by Thirukkovil Divisional Secretariat at the Udaya Sooriyan Play Grounds, Thirukkovil recently.
This tournament was organized by the Thirukkovil Divisional Secretariat Sports Officer P.Wasanth under the guidance and supervision of the Eastern Province Department of Sports. Six sports clubs from Thirukkovil DS division took part in the tournament. Eleven Star SC, Thampaddai – 66 runs 2 wickets in 5 over’s. Super Star SC, Thirukkovil – 44 runs in 4.2 over’s for all out.
The Thirukkovil Divisional Secretary S.Jegarajan and the Accountant M.Arasaratnam were the guests at this tournament. Prizes and Trophies for winning teams were distributed by the guests.
The champion players at this competition will have to contest at District level competition.
