Six-year-old drowned

A six-year-old boy named E.M. Arosh died after falling into an unprotected 5-feet deep waterhole near his house at Paraghamukalene, Hasalaka.

Although he was rescued by his 14-year-old cousin Asiri Nanda Kumara and rushed to the Mahiyangana Hospital with the help of an uncle, Arosh was pronounced dead on admission to hospital.
