The Anuradhapura District Consumer Affairs Authority has taken steps to raid errant traders in the district.
District Consumer Affairs Authority OIC R.M.P.K.Rathnayake said hiding goods, selling electrical appliances without a guarantee, non display of price lists and sale of expired goods are the main offences detected.
He said a pharmacy owner in Galenbindunuwewa was caught while selling expired pressure tablets.
Rathnayake said about 676 raids were conducted this year.
