Meera - Odai River, a tourist attraction

The Meera - Odai River in Akkaraipattu will be developed as a tourist attraction, according to Akkaraipattu Municipal Commissioner A. L. M. Azmi.

He said Meera-Odai River adds beauty to the municipality. Large crowds visit the area daily to view the scenery.

Several cement cabanas and electricity posts have been established to attract local and foreign tourists.

The hall has also been completed to convene meetings. The provision of lights and maintaining the river are some of the proposals to be implemented.
