Thihaisha marks third consecutive win

A good all round performance of unbeaten 50 runs and 3 for 9 by St. Sebastian’s skipper Thihaisha Mendis piloted his team to a 105 runs first innings win against beat St. Benedict’s College Kotahena in their inter school under 13 Div one tournament cricket match at Kotahena.

Sebs are unbeaten in this tournament with three consecutive wins. Batting first visitors declared at 184 for 6 and in reply Bens were skittled out for a paltry 79 runs and Tyral Baskaran claimed 3 for 28. At stumps Sebs were 52 for 1.

In another game of under 13 division two tournament St. Sebastian’s College beat St. Joseph College Colombo by 77 runs at Moratuwa. Batting initially Sebs declared at 157 for 6 with Navod Fernando scoring 57 runs and in reply Josaphians were all out for 80 runs with Nisal Senanayake capturing 3 for 12 and at stumps Sebs were 29 for no loss.
