Sri Mahindaramaya Katina Pinkama

The annual Katina Pinkama of the Sri Mahindaramaya, Colombo 10 will be held on October 13 and 14 under the patronange of he Viharadhipati Ven. Mapalane Dhammaloka Nayaka Thera. The program on October 13 includes a Gilanpasa Buddha pooja at 8 p.m followed by an all right pirith chanting from 8.30 p.m.

The Katina Perahara will leave Gothami Balika Vidyalaya at 4 a.m on October 14 and reach the temple premises after proceeding along the streets of Punchi Borella for the Katina Cheevara pooja at 6 a.m. Rest of the programme includes a heel dana at 7 a.m Buddha pooja followed by a sanghika dana at 11.30 a.m. Programme concludes with a Katinanusasana dhamma desana by Ven.Dikwelle Upatissa Nayake Thera at 5 p.m.
