PONNAMPALAM - Mr. SARAVANAMUTHU (Ponna) - Born : 02nd January 1940 - Departed : 05th October 2017. Mr. Saravanamuthu Ponnampalam passed away on 5th October 2017 in Canberra Australia. He worked as Senior Engineer in the Department of Machinery and Equipment (DME) Sri Lanka,​ World Bank project in Nigeria and Patent Office (IP Australia) in Canberra. He was born in Hatton Sri Lanka and was living in Canberra Australia from January 1994. He was the beloved son of the late Saravanamuthu & late Sellamma (Eluthumadduval),​ son-in-law of late Kanagasabai & late Sivapakiyam (Kadduvan),​ dearly beloved husband of Kanahambikai,​ loving father of Brindha,​ Nilanthi & Dhilanee,​ father-in-law of Krishnakumar,​ Satishkumar & Yogasundaram,​ much loved grandfather of Sahana,​ Leela & Vasanth,​ dearly loved brother of Thavamany Canagasabai,​ late Navamany Vallipuram & Manonmany Velauthapillai,​ brother-in-law of Ganeshamoorthy,​ Ganesharajah,​ Ganeshanantham,​ Ganeshanathan & Ganeshwaran. Last rites performed at his residence,​ 33,​ Neales Place,​ Kaleen ACT 2617 on Tuesday 10th October 2017 from 1.00 p.m. and thereafter cremation at 3:00 - 5.00 p.m. at Norwood Park Crematorium,​ 65,​ Sandford Street,​ Mitchell ACT 2911.
