The Under 13 Division one Cricket team of Kalutara Vidyalaya qualified for the third round of Singer trophy under 13 Schools Cricket tournament. They won five matchers in the first round while two matchers were not played due to rain.
In their last second round game they beat Nalanda College Colombo on first innings. Nalanda batting first were bundled out for 52 runs with Vishwa Dananjaya claiming five wickets for 25 while Dinuka Sisira took four for 25 Kalutara Vidyalaya in reply made 214 for 9 wickets with Pasindu Dulanjana scoring 51 and Hasanka Anupama making 55.
Nalanda in their second innings were 173 for seven wickets with Sajitha Vithanage scoring 72, Pasindu Kavishka took four for 52. With this win Kalutara Vidyalaya qualified for the third round.
Kalutara Vidyalaya is coached by Buddhika Madushantha with Sunil Saluwadana being the sports coordinator They are receiving all the support and encouragement from former Principal Neville Jayaratne and Master-in-charge of cricket Upul Kumara.
