The national ceremony to mark the enrollment of new entrants to year one classes in schools countrywide, was held under the patronage of Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam at Isipathana Vidyalaya, Colombo, yesterday. The new entrants to the year one classes of the Madithiyawala Primary School being received by students of the year two classes and conducted into the school compound, yesterday. Principal W. P. Premalal Wijelath and former teachers Pushpakumari Karunanayake and J. P. Padmawathie, were also present on the occasion, along with the rest of the tutorial staff.
