Royal College, Colombo and St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa were declared Joint Champions of the All Island under 15 Division One Cricket Tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association for the Singer Trophy. This final game was scheduled to be played on 2nd October 2018 at Thurstan College Grounds in Colombo and due to overnight rain the ground was water logged and the authorities decided to call off the match and awarded the 2018 Championship to both schools

Royalists were captained by Dasis Manchanayake and his Deputy was Kanika Dayaratne. Throughout the Tournament they were unbeaten and they participated in fourteen matches. Seven in the first round, four in the second round, Pre Quarters, Quarter Finals and the Semi finals. In the Semi Final with Prince of Wales’ College, Moratuwa it was a no decision and the winners were decided on bonus points.

Their skipper Dasis was the chief run getter of the side with 717 runs followed by Uvindu Weerasekera 591 runs and Sadeesha Rajapakse too collected 533 runs and the Vice Captain Kanika was the highest wicket taker with 54 scalps.

They were coached by Rashan Peiris assisted by Nisansala Mendis, Wasantha Satharasinghe, Charitha Fernando, Prageeth Ferdinando and Lahiru Fernando. Master in charge were W. S. Priyadarshana along with Anura Prashantha and M. A. M. Riyaz.

The Principal B. A. Abeyratne was a tower of strength to them at all times and the support and guidance extended by him carried a long way to their success.
