Rukman Wekadapola, Three Stars International Boxing Referee of Sri Lanka has been selected to Referee at the Youth Olympic Games in Aires, Argentina to be held from 9th to 20th October, 2018 and at the AIBA Women World Boxing Championships to be held in New Delhi, India from 13th to 25th November, 2018.
An old boy of Pilimatalawa Central College, Kandy Rukman is a former winner of the Stubbs Shield Boxing Meet in the year 1987 and started officiating as a Referee since then, after leaving School in the year 2000.
Rukman is attached to the Department of Education as a Teacher and he is the only Official from the Department to achieve this feat.
