Fined for having dagger

A man found guilty of possessing an illegally-made dagger was fined Rs. 1,000 by Deiyandara Chief Magistrate and Additional District Judge H. U. K. Pelpola.

According to the police, the suspect is a resident of Galetamba in Deiyandara.

Police arrested him on suspicion. While he was being searched, police recovered the dagger hidden in his waist.
