Parliament incurred Rs.260,000 loss

It has been revealed that owing to clashes which took place in parliament recently, an estimated damage of Rs.260,000 has been incurred. 
According to the estimate, nearly Rs.230,000 worth electronic equipment and iron rods fixed beside the chambers have resulted in an estimated damage of Rs.30,000. The damages to books which was in the chambers is currently being calculated. 
Meanwhile a committee was appointed on the 29th of  December by the speaker, in order to investigate the clashes which took place in the parliament. The members appointed to this committee includes MPs Chamal Rajapaksha, Ranjith Madduma Bandara, Chandrasiri Gajadeera, Bimal Ratnayaka and Mawei Senadiraja.
