Tense situation in Panadura Pradeshiya Sabha meeting

UNP, SLPP and JVP Councillors of the Panadura Pradeshiya Sabaha clashed at its special meeting yesterday held at the Wadduwa Vijaya Kumaratunga Auditorium.

The members at the meeting presided over by Sabha Chairman Hemantha Fernando were discussing the political situation in the country.

When JVP Councillor Ajith Kumara Siriseena proposed another resolution against Mahinda Rajapaksa and the President, Vice Chairman Nimal Illangage opposed it and the Sabha heated with the members accusing each other.

Later, the JVP and UNP members walked away from the meeting.
