Severed head found at factory

A severed head had been discovered at a factory on Dutugemunu Mawatha in Peliyagoda, last morning.

Police had received a call on the 119 emergency hotline about the head and subsequently, Peliyagoda Police had commenced investigations.

The Aluthkade Magistrate’s Court No.5 was informed on the matter and following the Magistrate’s inquest, the severed head was sent to the Colombo National Hospital mortuary.

Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said no information was available regarding the identity of the deceased.

Peliyagoda Police are investigating.
