An elder brother killed his own younger brother by attacking him with a cement brick on the skull, Galle Habaraduwa Police said.
The killed brother identified as Kankanamge Priyantha Kumara of Eththalahena, Angulugaha in Galle was a thirty five year old bachelor. The two brothers had lived in the same household with their parents. Yesterday, the elder brother who arrived home excessively drunk had started a squabble with the younger brother after which the latter had left home. However on his return home the elder brother who stayed in wait on the second floor of a two story house which is being built had reportedly dropped a cement brick on to the head on his brother.
The injured brother was soon rushed to Imaduwa hospital who succumbed to head injuries on admission to the hospital, the police further said. Habaraduwa police arrested the suspect, brother, 52 and are conducting further investigations.
