Melbourne Metal receives Environment Management Certificate

Melbourne Metal has been awarded ISO-14001-2015 Environmental Management standard certificate.

“We have been manufacturing quality eco- friendly steel wires for a long time, and this environmental management standard certificate is a great source of inspiration for us,” said Ramzy Amanullah; the CEO of the Melbourne Metal (Pvt) Ltd. Sithika Seneviratne, Director General of Sri Lanka Standards Bureau presented the standard certificate.

Melbourne Metal (Pvt) Ltd is a Board of Investment approved company, established in 1995 and registered under the companies act.

Melbourne Metal is continuously updating its manufacturing process with the latest advances in steel melting and rolling technologies and giving its benefits to esteemed customers.

It is a modern integrated steel plant with an annual production capacity of 120,000 MT in its two induction furnaces and three rolling mills managed by professionals.

Melbourne Metal (Pvt) Ltd received this recognition after 20 long years of manufacturing good quality eco- friendly steel wires the power saving standard certificate is due shortly says Rasika Kularatne, the standards manager of Melbourne Metal (Pvt) Ltd.

This standard certificate will be awarded to Melbourne Metal, because it manufactures steel wires without wasting power. Meanwhile Melbourne Metal will donate 500 houses to Masons, donating their first social service.
