Foundation stone laid for new school building

The Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for a four-storeyed building at AL- Iqbal Balika Maha Vidyalaya, Colombo 02, was held under the patronage of Principal Rihana Marzook yesterday.

The Chief Minister had allocated Rs.30.2 million for the first stage of the construction work as a response to a request made by Western Provincial Councillor Arzad Nijamudeen.

City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education Minister Rauff Hakeem, Colombo District MP Mujeebur Rahuman, Western Provincial Councillors Arzad Nijamudeen, Mohamed Faiz, Colombo MC Deputy Mayor Mohamed Iqbal and Western Province Education Director Sri Lal Nonis were present on the occasion.
