The Addalaichenai Public Library was shifted to the Late Mashoor Sinnalebbe Memorial Building Complex in Addalaichenai recently.
It was relocated with the objective of providing a more efficient and friendly service to the public with more facilities.
The ceremony was presided over by Addalaichenai Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) Chairman A.L.Amanullah.
SLMC Deputy Leader and Provincial Councils and Local Government State Minister H.M.M.Harees, Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine State Minister Faizal Cassim, Parliamentarian and Addalaichenai Divisional Development Co-ordinating Committee Co-Chairman A.L.M.Nazeer and local politicians were present at the event.
during the event, students who won the October National Reading Month competition between Addalaichenai Educational Division schools were awarded prizes. Schoolchildren within the Addalaichenai Divisional Secretariat, who had excelled at the Grade - 5 Scholarship Examination last year, were also felicitated with prizes and certificates.
Addalaichenai PS members, Addalaichenai PS Secretary M.I.M.Fais, Department heads and students participated.
