Explosives found from Gurunagar

The Jaffna Special Task Force had found one kilo and 495 grams of high powered explosives at a bus stand in Gurunagar, Jaffna on Wednesday.

The C4 explosives was recovered in a search operation carried out based on information received by the Navy intelligence officers.

The STF had also discovered detonator threads together with detonators. The police suspect that the explosives could have belonged to fishermen in the area to be used for blast fishing. Further investigations are being carried out by the Jaffna Police.
