The Puttalam District Chamber of Commerce together with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) felicitated 10 businessmen who have made the district proud at provincial and national level, at the annual award ceremony held at Suriya Resort in Waikkal recently.
The selection of them was based on their financial situation and the tremendous support they have lent for the uplifting of the standards of society both at provincial and national level, at the recently concluded annual award ceremony of Puttalam District Chamber of Commerce held at Suriya Resort.
The top 10 Hall of Fame winners were B.M.A.P Balasuriya, Managing Director of Balasuriya Hospital, Dhammika Hapuarachchi, Managing Director of Prasara Washing Plant, Eric Suriyaarachchi, Chairman Suriya Resort, M.H.D Geminious, Chairman, Chuti Duwa Group Of Company, N.S. Victor, Managing Director of Weehena Farms, Nushan Fernando, Chairman TNR Steel Sri Lanka, P.J.A. Fernando, Managing Director Manisha (Pvt) Ltd. S.A Nishan Silva, Managing Director Grand Holiday Resort, Shiran Karunaratne, Managing Director Gospel House Handicrafts and W.I. Mario Fernando, Managing Director Fatima D.C & Oil Mill.
These hall of fame awards recognise their service through their entrepreneurial and leadership acumen, and it is a testimonial to their devotion respective sectors in the North Western Province as well as nationally. Speaking on the achievement, the relevant entrepreneurs remarked, “This award reflects on the hard work and effort put into maintaining and prevailing the quality of standards and services of our organisation.
