Shooting at Angoda

A 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting that took place near the Bank of Ceylon Angoda branch at 7.35pm yesterday.

Police stated that two people who arrived on a motorbike had opened fired and then fled the scene.

The victim was identified as Vishwa Warunaka, a resident of Kelanimulla, Angoda.

The victim who was admitted to the National Hospital in Colombo following the shooting succumbed due to injuries, police said. Mulleriya Police are investigating.
