A suspect who was allegedly involved in several organised crimes was arrested while loitering in Keththarama Road in Maligawatte, by the officers of the Crime Investigation Division of Colombo. The suspect was identified as Mohammed Salmaan Rilwaan alias ‘Pappa’ (28), a resident of Grandpass, Colombo14.
At the preliminary police investigations, it was revealed that the suspect was directly involved in the shootings related to the murders of two persons in Jampettah Street in the Off Shore Police Division in July 2018.
He was also reportedly involved in another murder which occurred in August 2018 in the Maligawatte Police Division.
