A quack who had treated patients in Pasyala was arrested by Weeragula Police last Tuesday.
The said quack identified as Kariyawasam Athukoralaage Don Peter Hysinth (59) was a resident of Pahalawela, Pamunuwa watte in Meerigama.
A large quantity of pills and drugs in excess of 100,000 were found in the suspect’s ‘dispensary’.
The suspect had provided pills to patients for the past several years while running a medical dispensary in Weerasuriya Hill in Pasyala.
The suspect will be produced before the Attanagalla Magistrate’s Courts by the Weeragula Police.
