Man found guilty of murder

Hambantota High Court Judge Thamara Thennakoon imposed the death sentence on a 69-year-old person found guilty of murdering a person and injuring another, 32 years ago.

Sheik Marshook, a father of seven and a resident of Kuda Gammana in Weerawila received the death penalty.

The suspect was convicted of having shot and killed Mohamed Fouse and wounding Mohamed Aroos.

State Counsel Rangika Rajapaksa appeared for the complainant while an official of the Tissamaharama Police appeared for the suspect.
