Sterilizing campaign in Kandana

The Animal Welfare and Protection Association conducted a sterilizing campaign last Saturday in Kandana and 71 animals (55 female dogs, two male dogs and 14 female cats) were sterilized and neutered. Forty dogs were immunized against rabies. We regret to say that more male dogs were not neutered as owners thought it wasn’t necessary!

This campaign was initiated by Priyanka and Nilu and we are very thankful for their excellent organization. AWPA Committee Member, Sadhana Vikrantha was also present.
