The 71st National Independence Day celebrations themed 'Ekata Sitimu' (Let's be Together) were held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wikkcremasinghe. A cultural pageant to coincide with the celebrations was held at Independence Arcade.
