Hindu priest held for firearm possession

Police arrested a priest at a Hindu temple in Habarana, for possessing a firearm, recently. The raid was conducted following complaints received by residents about poaching activities that were taking place in the area.

The firearm was found concealed behind the statue of a deity. The suspect and the weapon were to be produced at the Kekirawa Magistrate's Court.
