CID to probe businessmen’s abduction

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has taken over the investigations into two businessmen reported to have been abducted by a group of unidentified persons in police uniform in Boossa.

This was on the directive of IGP Pujith Jayasundera.

The relatives of the businessmen had complained to police that the businessmen were abducted by a group of men in police uniform on January 23.

Relatives have also informed the police that they received a letter stating that the businessmen died at the hands of police officers.
