Warrant for drug traffickers over Sri Lanka’s largest heroin haul

The Colombo Fort Acting Magistrate Deemani Baddewela today issued an open warrant written  in english through the interpol for the arrest of Bangladesh National Somon Skeikh Ahmed Hssain, Antony Michael , Underworld gangster Sujeewa de Silva alisa "Kosgoda Sujee", Michel Abdul Raheem.

The Magistrate made this order after considering the request made by Police Narcotics Bureau.

PNB informed the court that the interrogation of the suspects had revealed that the heroine was sent to Sri Lanka by five famous drug traffickers including Kosgoda Sujee who was currently in hide in Dubai.

Meanwhile, the two suspects who were arrested over 294 kilograms and 490 grams of heroin, the largest ever haul found in Sri Lanka in the Kollupitiya area on February were remanded till March 15 by Colombo Fort Acting Magistrate Deemani Baddewela.

They were identified as 43-year-old Mohomad Bazir Mohomad Ajmir and 32-year-old Mohomad Rilan Ahamad Ruzni from Keselwatte in Panadura.
