VIR War Heroes' Unforgettable Sacrifices are to be honoured

The Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, not forgetful of numerous sacrifices made by its infantrymen for the sake of the territorial integrity of the country are to be respected during a memorial ceremony staged at  the VIR War Memorial, Boyagane, Kurunegala on Sunday, chaired by Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army at the invitation of Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana, Deputy Chief of Staff and Colonel of the Regiment, VIR.

The fallen war heroes of VIR, who sacrificed their lives to save the motherland from the LTTE will be commemorated in the presence of their parents, Children and wives at the Regimental Headquarters in Kurunegala.
