Bangun urges Malay representation in Parliament

The Bangun Movement released a statement saying that although the Malay community had made significant contributions to the country for the past 300 years, in recent times, they had faced numerous difficulties that had not been resolved.

The statement said that if Malay representation in Parliament was restored, these issues could be addressed faster.

They stated that as Malay numbers were not well-concentrated in most electorates, it had hindered their chances of being elected.

Hence, they urged the government to make a proper arrangement so that the Malay community would have a better chance at electing a representative from their community.

The Bangun Movement was recently formed to promote the inclusion of the Malay community in Parliament.
