Bolivian nabbed with 5kg of cocaine

Cocaine weighing over five kilograms worth Rs.75 million was detected by Customs officers at the Arrivals Lounge of the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake from a luggage of a Bolivian passenger.

Custom officials said that the suspect (60) arrived from New Delhi by Flight No AI 281 at 3.45pm yesterday.

Cocaine has been concealed in a mixture with latex layer pasted to the bottom of bags.

Further investigations are carried out under the directions of Customs Director General P. S.M Charles, Customs Airport Director M.A. Karunarathne and Deputy Director K.H.P Kumarasiri.
