The new multi-storey primary learning resource centre at Oluvil Dharul Ilm Vidyalaya was opened by Parliamentarian A. L. M. Nazeer, recently.

It was built at a cost of Rs.15 million under the ‘Nearest School is the Best School’ programme of the Education Ministry. The school comes under the Akkaraipattu Education Zone.
Parliamentarian Nazeer said the government has given priority to uplift the education sector. Under this programme, the government has allocated a large sum for the ‘Nearest School is the Best School’ programme. The government will continue to allocate more funds in the future too for the benefit of schoolchildren, he said.
The aim of the present government is to provide equal education facilities to all children without any difference as they are the future leaders.
More schoolchildren from rural areas show their talents in examinations. Only an educated society can achieve sustainable development, he said.
