Advice to use electricity thriftily

The Electricity Board (CEB) urges general public to use electricity thriftily.

Due to the prevailing dry weather conditions, the hydro power generation capacity has reduced since the water level of all major reservoirs has gone down.

 Accordingly the water level of Castlere, Mausakele, Kotmale, Victoria, Randenigala and Samanalawewa reservoirs has gone down to 41.8 per cent by now.
