The main suspect of a murder case which took place in Makola area in December last year was found shot dead by the Nawagamuwa police at a rubber estate in Kaduwela this morning.
The deceased, 37-years-old Chamila Prasad Karunaratne was a temporary resident at Gonawala area in Kelaniya.
Police have identified him as the main suspect, who was wanted in connection with the assassination of Dhanushka Sanjeewa alias Manna, a business from Makola North, Makola on December 12, 2018. The 35-years-old Manna had been shot dead at the Galwala Junction in Sapugaskanda police area.
Police found several live T56 ammos and empty bullet cases from the scene today.
Nawagamuwa police are investigating.
