Held for heroin
The Colombo Crime Division in a raid arrested a suspect with three grams and 100 milligrams of heroin, near the Kolonnawa flyover in the Dematagoda Police division on Sunday afternoon.
The suspect is 52-year-old Perumal Shiva Perumal, a resident of Wellampitiya. He was to be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate yesterday.
Five held with Kerala cannabis
The Divisional Law Enforcement Unit of Kalutara arrested five suspects with 24 kilograms of Kerala cannabis in Dharga Town and Aluthgama on Sunday afternoon. The suspects are between the ages of 23 and 47 and are residents of Kalutara South and Dharga Town areas. They were to be produced before the Kalutara Magistrate yesterday.
Nabbed with drugs
The Borella Police arrested a suspect with eight kilograms and 600 grams of Kerala Cannabis in Seevali Lane, Colombo 8, on Sunday afternoon. The 19-year-old suspect is a resident of Baseline Road, Borella. He was to be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate yesterday.
