APPLE ROSES

How do you like them apples? ‘Cooking with Manuela’ makes us drool with a dessert recipe that’s both romantic and delectable:

Apples baked to look like a bouquet of roses. Making rose-shaped apples is fairly easy. You’ll just have to spread apricot preserve on strips of puff pastry, then place the thin strips of apple. Sprinkle with cinnamon and then roll them up. Let the roses sit – or should I say bloom – in the oven for 45 minutes, then serve.

According to Manuela, she started her blog out of her passion for cooking easy-to-make meals and photographing them afterwards. Looking at how beautiful and delicious these rose apples look, I’d say she’s doing a pretty good job.
