CR & FC will meet Police Sports Club in their Dialog ‘A’ Division ‘Clifford Cup’ knock out Rugby Championship quarter final match at Race Course grounds today. The match is due to get under way at 4.00pm.
The Red shirts launched their league rugby season in a promising manner this year by winning against Police Sports Club in their first round game by 38 points to 17 at Police Park.
On the other hand their opponents of today, Police Sports Club after losing the first round game came back with all guns blazing to tame favourites CR & FC in their own den at Longden Place where they pulled of a stunning 21-18 victory in the return second round game due to a spectacular last minute try scored by Police nippy scrum half cum former Prince Of Wales College Moratuwa rugby captain Primesh Dhanushka.
Hence today's clash between Police Sports Club and CR & FC promises to be a real blockbuster and predicting the winner here is not going to be that easy.
