DFCC, a full-fledged commercial bank - Chairman

Chairman of DFCC Royle Jansz said the bank has crossed the threshold from development finance to commercial banking with the opening of the 139th branch at Lake House.

“The Super Branch at Lake House addresses a long-felt need for consumers to bank expeditiously and with convenience at the heart of the city,” he said.

“I have no doubt that the care and service, two cornerstones of the bank, offered at this branch only rivals the same personalised service offered at branches in rural parts of the country.”

One of the highest rated banks - CEO

CEO Lakshman Silva said that the DFCC is now one of the highest rated banks in Sri Lanka with a credit rating of AA from an International Ratings Agency. He said that the DFCC has been in business for 63 years as a development and or commercial Bank and 15 of these as a commercial bank.

The new branch is different, he said, because it incorporates all digital initiatives available in spacious surroundings. Nevertheless, the service at DFCC’s remote branches, is as efficient and customer focused, as in this branch, and DFCC is now Sri Lanka’s fastest growing commercial bank.

Facilities include export/import services, a state-of-the-art trade and remittance department, and a personal finance processing centre, he said.
