Over 3,000 drunken drivers nabbed in Kurunegala

Kurunegala police arrested 3,456 drunken drivers in the past two months. About 236 accidents were reported in Kurunegala in this duration, and many of them were caused by drivers under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Among those who were arrested, 347 were public servants. About 48 motorcyclists who hooted horns too loudly were also arrested.
