That Deepika Padukone made her Hollywood debut with ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’ (2017) starring Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen, Nina Dobrev and other stars, is a fact known to all but little did we know that Deepika is interested in being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and play a superhero in the ‘Avenger’ series.
But there’s a twist because Deepika wants that the superhero is of Indian origin. Now won’t that be cool?
Deepika, who was recently in London to unveil her wax statue at Madame Tussaud’s, spoke about her willingness to be part of a superhero film.
“Yeah, of course. Why not? I mean I’d say Indian origin. So whether it’s Marvel or whether it’s ‘Avengers’, or you know, any of these iconic characters that we’ve seen in the cinema, I think it would be very interesting. And I think the world is ready for it to see one of these superheroes, one that originates from India. I believe it will happen soon. I know it will,” Deepika said.
