Sri Lanka Freedom Party and Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna representatives who are striving to form a broader alliance, yesterday decided to hold the next round of discussions on April 10. The representatives of both parties arrived at this decision during the discussions held at the Opposition Leader’s office yesterday morning.
The discussions focused on 20 policy issues and went on for over two hours.
A spokesman of the SLPP said the discussions were successful.
Parliamentarians Dayasiri Jayasekara and Thilanga Sumathipala, and Professor Rohan Lakshman Piyadasa represented the SLFP, while the SLPP was represented by Professor G.L. Peiris, Parliamentarian Dullus Alahapperuma and Dr. Jagath Wellawatte.
