Sri Sumangala College Panadura beat their arch rivals Moratu Vidyalaya by five wickets in their inter school annual limited overs match worked off at De Soysa Stadium Moratuwa. Now the tally stands at Sumangalians 12 Vidyalians 10 and rest drawn.
Batting first Vidyalians were all out for 108 runs with Nishan Madushka scoring 36 runs and Vishva Lahiru claimed 4 for 19 and in reply Sumangalians notched up the required score for the loss of five wickets and Vishva Didulana captured 3 for 23.
Moratu Vidyalaya – 108 in 42.2 overs – Nishan Madushka 36, Poorna Prabath 2/18, Vishva Lahiru 4/19.
Sri Sumangala – 109/5 in 34.4 overs – Mihiranga Fernando 20, Prabath Jayasekera 27, Shanadith Fernando 22 n/o, Vishva Didulana 3/23.
