Youth held with heroin, grenade and ammunition

The Batticoloa Divisional Anti-Crime Unit on a tip-off arrested a suspect with a live hand grenade, three swords, nine T-56 ammos and 80 milligrams of heroin on Saturday afternoon in the Morakotanchenai area.

The suspect, Mohanadas Jaykanth (25) is a resident of Aiyankethi,Chenkaladi area.

He was handed over to the Eravur police to be produced before the Eravur Magistrate ocurts. .
